Ragley- Funeral service for Alfred Morein, 78, will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 at 11:00AM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon John Eaves will officiate. Burial will follow in Richie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
Visitation will be held Thursday in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder from 12noon-9pm and will continue Friday from 8am until time of service.
Mr. Morein was a resident of Ragley. He was the owner of Lakeview Landing in Leesville for 29 years and he retired from Wilson Motors as an automotive service manager. Mr. Morein enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elaine Gill Morein; two sons, Michael Lynn Morein and wife Vivian of Sulphur, Harvey Morein of DeRidder, two daughters, Odelia (Punky) Morein Dauzat & husband Craig of Pitkin & Jo Marie Morein Owens & husband Bob of Welsh; step daughter, Lisa Kelly of Moss Bluff; sister, Versie DeRose of Sulphur; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Morein is preceded in death by his parents, Amy & Ezra Morein; granddaughter, Melissa Tenae Wiggins; stepson, Eugene Kelly.
