Aaron was born in Guam in 1981 to the union of James and Debra Gillen. He was a graduate of Denham Springs High School. He was a big momma's boy, always making sure to text or send her flowers. He was a southern gentleman with a kind, loving heart, and a gentle soul. Aaron would talk to anyone about anything, but most of all, he enjoyed talking about the Bible. He constantly read his Bible, even until the night of his passing he was sharing his knowledge. He cherished his grandparents and enjoyed gardening like his pawpaw. He loved spending time with his mawmaw and will be laid to rest next to her. Aaron was giving the nickname, "Scooter", by his pawpaw. His pawpaw always only called him Scooter. Aaron was incredibly smart, always maintained great grades in school and enjoyed sharing his wisdom with others. He was very much loved, adored and cherished every single day. Aaron always loved the Lord! He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Aaron's memory include his parents, James and Debra Gillen; brother, Jason Gillen and wife, Elizabeth; and nieces and nephews, Lorelei, Jensen, Eva and Duncan. He loved being an uncle and big brother!
Aaron is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby and Virginia Cottongin.
